Jack Speaks: Math

When the moon is 239,000 miles from the earth, its diameter subtends about 31 degrees of angle at a point on the earth. Using this fact, compute the diameter of the moon by assuming that the diameter is the arc of a circle having its center at a point on the earth.

I remember my prof's reaction when we couldn't solve that.

"You're IT students! Math is teaching you logic! You need this logic to program! You guys need to study!"

Haaa, Math. I really hate this subject.

I've always been the MATH-type of student! Geometry and Trigo being my favorite! I always loved answering SUDOKU!(during 4th year high)

Meh pro math people can find out how many floors a building needs to have by using one given side measurement and one given angle.
